Metallica's Kirk Hammett Guests On Exodus' New Album
Metallica guitarist Kirk Hammett added a solo to "Salt in the Wound," a track cut by his former band Exodus. Speaking with Rolling Stone, Hammett said getting back in the groove with his old pals felt just fine indeed: "It felt really casual, really cool - just like it did back in 1980 when we were all just hanging out," says Hammett.
Lenny Kravitz Releases 'Sex'
Lenny Kravitz has released "Sex," a single from his upcoming tenth album, Strut. "Sex" follows "The Chamber" as the second single from the LP. "This is one of my favorite tracks on the album," Kravitz tells Billboard. "It was recorded with minimal instrumentation, guitar, bass and drums. The strength of the groove comes from the sparse production which creates space."
Nirvana's Krist Novoselic Supports Eddie Vedder's Anti-War Comments
Pearl Jam fronter Eddie Vedder was criticized for anti-war comments he made at a recent show in England. While on stage, Vedder made general comments which were interpreted as anti-Israel by some: "I swear to f-cking God, there are people out there who are looking for a reason to kill! They're looking for a reason to go across borders and take over land that doesn't belong to them."
