Nickelback - Shakin' Hands
CONCERT: Taste Of Chaos- Avenged Sevenfold, Atreyu, Bless The Fall, The Underneath, MUCC, D'espairsray, and Bullet For My Valentine
review: It all started with a few local bands, then D'espairsray opened up and kicked ass with some killer guitar, although they first three bands hailed from Japan, and they werent the easiest to understand, they had amazing sound, MUCC performed next, the lead singer was a Japanese Axl Rose, pretty good, The Underneath gave a good show... Bullet For My Valentine performed next, although they arent my favorite, the crowd went nuts and they gave a great show with some of their heavy songs as well as playing a few of their ballads... BlesstheFall were next, they gave an interesting show, loud, progressive, and screamo, altogether good performance... Atreyu was next, they were amazing, wasnt big on them before hand, but they proved themselves by sounding better live than they do one their records...lots of energy, and perfect sound...GREAT performance... Avenged Sevenfold gave us a teaser for about half an hour or so, showed a hilarious video on the big screens of the band members being insulted by a drill instructor, then continued to put a fifteen minute deathbat timer up, they started out with Critical Acclaim, off of their new album, loads of pyro, amazing stage setup, continued with a song off of Waking The Fallen, then continued with some songs off of City Of Evil, But also played Bat Country, Seize The Day, and Almost Easy, gave an encore of Unholy Confessions for the original fans....they sounded amazing, amazing vocals on Shadows Part, and killer guitar on Zacky's and Syn's part, kick ass double bass drumming, and Johnny sang Seize the Day as well as proving his ass on the bass...GREAT LIVE BAND! Worth The money...i hope to see them several more times in my life...made the 7 hours of other music worth the last hour and a half...WORTH EVERY PENNY...if your even considering seeing them live, jump on those tickets ASAP!
Concert: 3 days grace/Breaking Benjamin/Seether/Hurt at Show Me Center Cape Girardeau, MO Feb. 21st 2008
review: Well considering the price of the tickets to get into this show, I really was not expecting all that much. However I have been a 3 days grace and Breaking Benjamin fan for quite some time and had never seen them yet, so I figured it would be worth at least the 35 dollars for the ticket. Little did I know how kick ass this show would be. Hurt was the opener, and got the crowd going pretty good. By the time seether made it on stage, the place was jumpin. Seether played one of their classic hits "Broken", but with a twist. The lead singer from 3 days grace came out and sang Amy Lee's part. I think this was one of the best parts of the concert. Also, really loved seether's song titled "Rise above this". Still listening to that song now actually, LOL. While waiting for Breaking Benjamin to take the stage, we decided to sneak out on the floor, even though we had tickets for seats and no wristbands LOL. We made it onto the floor just in time to see Breaking Benja! min bring down the house. They are just really amazing to see perform in person. No words I could write could do justice to the show they put on. Well maybe one word. Wow!! Last but definitely not least was 3 days grace. They were on the same level as Breaking Benjamin, very, very good. When the pyrotechnics went off and they started playing the song "Riot" I really thought there may be a riot. Just crazy moshing and crowd surfing going on everywhere. I had to get into the action and do a little crowd surfing, and was sure glad I did when I ended up in the very front!!! I watched the last four songs fron this vantage point very happily. After the concert was over, none of us wanted to go home at all!! The roads were icy and it was very cold, and we had at least a five hour drive to get home. We decided to hang out with about thirty other people over near the tour bus area, in the hopes that we would get to see some of the band members. After about an hour ou! t there and feeling completely numb, they started coming out. ! I ended up getting to meet all the members of the band, and had to take off my wifebeater to get all of their autographs (which I will never wear or wash again by the way). True story!! Proof is in the pictures, check out my myspace pics at http://www.myspace.com/tbcox3 Feel free to add me if you are a fan of the bands! If I had to rate this concert from 1 to 10, I would give it an 11!!! Simply an unbelievable show, if you have the chance to check it out, you should go without a doubt. Don't even think twice.
Concert: Pointfest at the Verizon Wireless Ampitheatre on September 30th in St. Louis

boom.chevelle got the crowd going, lots of crowd surfing but disapointed they

ass.of course, three days grace was awsome because wer'e all in love with
adam gontier.he did an acoustic solo that rocked.by far the best band at
pointfest.as usual, breaking benjamin got the st.louis crowd rockin since
they consider it their 2nd home.ben walked through the crowd handing out
water bottles while shaun morgan from seether sang with band.overall,VIP is
the greatest way to see a concert especially for hard rockers that we

Concert: Bad Boys of Rock Tour Hinder, Papa Roach, Buckcherry, and The
Exies at the Verizon Wireless Ampitheatre on July 27th in St. Louis
by Thomas Cox from Hull, IL
Well other than the fact that it was horribly hot outside, the bad
boys of rock tour delivered. The concert opened up with The Exies playing a
5 song set including their current hit "Different Than You" and were a good
opening band. Buckcherry performed next and really got the crowd going.
Their lead singer is pretty amazing. By the time Papa Roach got on, the
crowd was going nuts. Papa Roach rocked the house like usual, and even
though I saw Papa Roach about three months ago in Columbia, they were still
very entertaining. The headlining band was Hinder, and they delivered about
what I expected, not great, but a good show. However the highlight of the
show was the lead singer from Papa Roach coming out and singing "Born To Be
Wild" with Hinder. After the encore, Hinder performed a new song from their
upcoming album. All in all, I would give this show about an 8.5 out of 10.
It was definitely worth the price of the tickets. The one downside was that
I didn't end up with the bands at a bar after the show. I was somewhat hoping for
that ending.
Concert: Family Values 2007
by Chris Lee from Monticello
Other than not being able to make it to the stage to propose to Amy
Lee, I'd say the concert was what I expected but nothing more. The bands,
Korn and Evanescence included, said very little and did just short of
nothing to get the far-from-sold-out crowd revved up. They walked on stage,
did their songs, and left. Korn, who I assume most were there to see, didn't
even come back for an encore...probably because the crowd didn't demand it.
Maybe the crowd was wore out at the end of a 9-hour concert, but I can't
hardly imagine that being the case from Korn fans. The crowd at the Ted
Nugent show at Burlington Steamboat Days was rowdier than this one - despite
my best efforts to personally drain a Bud Light keg (and consequently my
bank account) and lose my voice.
Individually, all the bands played well - Lily from Flyleaf and Amy from
Evanescence sound as amazing live as they do on their CD's and Lily, just as
she was when I saw her open for Disturbed, is just a ball of energy (which
makes me wonder what she'd be like on a different stage - insert sexual
innuendo here). Trivium, Droid, and Atreyu were okay though I'm not a big
fan of any of them so my opinion on them should be taken with a grain of
salt (and several shots of tequila, preferrably off some hottie's navel).
Korn, though they seem to have gotten in the habit of losing band members as
of late, still did a pretty good job but their signature slap-bass sound was
pretty muted. I can't say if that was their fault or the venue's. Either
way, despite having the biggest stage (it had a 2nd story platform), I
wouldn't say their stage appearance or their sound was much to brag about.
The big disappointment for me (though I'm sure that Korn purists would
disagree) was that Jonathan and Amy did not do their Freak on a Leash duet.
That, and there were absolutely no pyrotechnics. And don't tell me they
couldn't have flames or explosions because the Godsmack/Rob Zombie/Shinedown
concert at that same venue blew up all sorts of stuff. Is Korn not possibly
one of the richest bands on earth (have you seen them on Cribs?) for cryin'
out loud? If they're going to put on a mediocre show, the least they could
do is send a couple mushroom clouds up.
For me, the best part of the whole show was Hellyeah's performance. The idea
of coupling Cowboys from Hell with the algorithmic guitar and sinister
vocals of Mudvayne deserves a big, "Hellyeah!" Whether fronting Mudvayne or
this, his newest project, Chad Gray flat out rocks on a microphone. And who
doesn't want to see a band backed by the beat-keeper from Pantera?! Their
high-energy songs reeking of the stereotypical sex, drugs, and alcohol
lyrics rockers crave do nothing less than make you want to start "throwin'
fists in the pit." Throw in a very country-esqe beginning "Alcohaulin' Ass"
tune and you're witnessing a band who you're glad you're seeing now because
you know its just a matter of time before at least some of them end up in
rehab. And despite the fact they're a super-group formed from the fusion of
two of the biggest bands in modern rock, they still came out and signed CD
covers. That says a lot about their dedication to the fans that got them
where they are.
Keeping in mind this was the first stop on the tour, I'd say the bands are
off to a good start (I mean, c'mon, Amy Lee no sooner got back from India
and went right to playing this show). I'd like to see it again about halfway
into the tour when all the bands (save for maybe the supposedly-sober
Jonathan Davis), are completely whacked-out and really into putting on a
kick-ass show. Because deep down, real rock enthusiasts know thats what it
takes for rock bands to really shine.
by Lindsey Love from Louisiana
WELL THE BANDS I EXPECTED TO BE F*IN AWESOME SUCKED LIKE FLYLEAF
ATREYU TRIVIUM HELLYEAH BUT AT LEAST KoRn and EvaneScence still kicked ass
the concert sucked altogether and so did the crowd so if i rated it on a
1-10 making 10 the highest id give it an 7 cause the featuring bands pulled
them through.
Concert: Ted Nugent
By Heather
59 years old and still rocking, Ted Nugent was insane. The stage
decor included various animal skeletons and carcuses as well as a huge
collection of machine guns. Ted said "Free machine guns for all the little
boys and girls complements of Uncle Ted" (several times). We enjoyed the old
songs Wango Tango, Cat Scratch Fever, Strangle Hold and many more as well as
some new songs from his album that will be released soon. The new song Love
Grenade kicks ass and I am looking forward to hearing it on the Grizz.
Concert: Breaking Benjamin/3 days grace/Puddle of Mudd
By Dan Baird
Concert opened up with Modern Day Zero, who totally rocked the
house. Anyone and everyone should check there music out. Puddle of Mudd
got the crowd moving after that. Three days grace came out and kicked some
serious ass. Didn't think breaking benjamin would beat it, even though i am
a huge fan. But breaking benjamin came out and owned the place. Simply
unbelievable. That had to be the greatest concert of all time. Not one
person left there disappointed and I am positive I'll see them another
twenty times. If you plan on going to one of their concerts, be prepared
for the greatest show on a stage.
